The FIA’s recent New England trade show held in Tamworth (21/5 & 22/5) was a thrilling success for the Association and event visitors!
The show featured just under 60 leading foodservice exhibitors and covered all segments of the foodservice industry including food, beverage, paper & packaging, technology as well as many other specific product suppliers, utilities and service providers.
Supporting Local Business in Regional NSW - Tradeshow Visitor Growth
Visitors for this year’s show came from all foodservice operations segments including: café/restaurant, government, heath service, aged care, convenience, QSR, hotel/pub, bakery, caterers, venues, childcare and schools.
To assist the local foodservice business community Exhibitors offered Giveaways, hands on Demonstrations as well as Special Offers available on the days of the tradeshow.
The New England tradeshow saw almost 11% growth on total trade show visitors compared to the last time the show was run in 2017.
An Extensive Marketing and PR Campaign
In promoting the tradeshow, the FIA conducted an extensive Marketing and PR campaign in the lead up to the event.
Activities included social and digital marketing, email marketing as well as local press advertising. Trade show invites were distributed to all foodservice businesses in the New England region as well (both as printed versions and digital versions).
This tradeshow event also featured for the first time an incredibly popular Tradeshow Product brochure. This whopping 44-page brochure featured signature products and deals from the exhibitors and was distributed through our supporting Foodservice Distributors.
This multi-channel campaign activity resulted with the local foodservice business community being totally blanketed with information on the show and this was reflected with the awesome turnout on the event days.
All of this activity then generated fantastic PR support with the tradeshow being featured on TV news programs and radio.
